Palestinians for Black Power Tees
2016-2020
Throughout the duration of this ongoing project, I hand screen printed t-shirts meant to spark conversations and solidarity in the Palestinian community with the Movement for Black Lives. Sales from the t-shirts went to support community initiatives for Black Power, such as Assata’s Daughters in Chicago, and the campaign to #FreeSiwatu in Detroit. A later variant read ‘Arabs for Black Power.’ The t-shirts were worn by artists, activists, and community members around the world, even making an appearance in the music video for Talib Kweli’s ‘All of Us.’
