A Map of Palestine
(Arab American National Museum Lower Level Gallery, 2016-2017)
Mural mapping the largest Palestinian communities in the world, painted to temporarily accompany my solo exhibition, Drawing in the Diaspora, at the AANM. Communities are mapped with tatreez (traditional Palestinian emboridery) patterns, stitched together by Naji al-Ali’s Handala, the symbol of the Palestinian refugee child.
